Eddy Omar Lopez Gonzalez, 31, is facing charges following a fateful traffic stop involving he and two young children who were in the vehicle with him while he was driving with a revoked license.
Officers conducted the stop at approximately 7:53 a.m. on November 12 in the 1300 block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge, officials said.
During the stop, police identified the driver as Lopez Gonzalez and discovered he was wanted on a failure to appear warrant, authorities reported.
Police say that officers noticed drug paraphernalia within the vehicle during the stop, and made note that two children, ages 7 and 9, were in the backseat at the time, where additional paraphernalia was allegedly found.
The children were unharmed and released to a family member, authorities confirmed, while Lopez Gonzalez was taken into custody without incident.

The Woodbridge resident was charged with:
- Two counts of felony child neglect;
- Two counts of possession of a Scheduled I or II narcotic;
- Reckless driving;
- Driving on a revoked license.
Bond was set at $12,000 secured and his court date was pending as of Wednesday morning.
